Switching platforms

Switching is easier than you think

Bring your audience with you in minutes. Export a CSV from your current platform, import it to SplashSend, and you’re ready to go. No technical skills needed.

How it works

Three steps to switching

1

Export your subscribed contacts

Download a CSV of your subscribed contacts from your current platform. Make sure to export only subscribed contacts to keep your list clean and compliant.

2

Import to SplashSend

Go to People → Import CSV in your SplashSend dashboard. Upload your file and we’ll handle duplicates automatically. Most lists import quickly — just upload and we handle the rest.

3

Pick up where you left off

Set up your sender details, recreate your templates in our email builder, and send your first campaign. Your audience is waiting.

How to export from your current platform

Step-by-step instructions for the most popular email marketing platforms.

M

Mailchimp

  1. 1In Mailchimp, click Audience in the left menu and select your audience.
  2. 2Click Export audience, then click Export CSV to confirm.
  3. 3Mailchimp will email you when the export is ready — download the file.
  4. 4If the download is a ZIP, open it and find the subscribed CSV inside.
  5. 5Import that CSV at People → Import CSV in SplashSend.
Tip:Your export may arrive as a ZIP with separate files for subscribed, unsubscribed, and cleaned contacts — only import the subscribed one.
K

Klaviyo

  1. 1In Klaviyo, go to Lists & Segments and click Create List/Segment → Segment.
  2. 2Set the condition to: can receive → email marketing — this filters to opted-in contacts only.
  3. 3Click Create Segment, then open it once it has finished building.
  4. 4Click the Manage Segment dropdown and select Export Segment to CSV.
  5. 5Import the downloaded CSV at People → Import CSV in SplashSend.
Tip:Never export and import your full contact list directly — Klaviyo includes unsubscribed and suppressed profiles in exports. Always export a ‘can receive email marketing’ segment to stay compliant.
C

Constant Contact

  1. 1In Constant Contact, go to the Contacts section.
  2. 2Filter your contacts by email status and select Active to show subscribed contacts only.
  3. 3Click Actions → Export selection.
  4. 4Choose the contact details to include and click Export.
  5. 5Once ready, download your file from the import/export activity page, then import it at People → Import CSV in SplashSend.
Tip:Filter by email status before exporting — choose Active to ensure you only bring over opted-in contacts.
B

Brevo

  1. 1In Brevo, go to CRM → Contacts.
  2. 2Click Load a list or segment and select the list you want to migrate.
  3. 3Choose the contact attributes you want to include in the export.
  4. 4Select your CSV format and click Start export.
  5. 5Click the bell icon (notifications) at the top to download your file when it’s ready, then import it at People → Import CSV in SplashSend.
Tip:Brevo exports everyone in the selected list — make sure the list you choose contains only subscribed contacts before exporting.
K

Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

  1. 1In Kit, go to Grow → Subscribers.
  2. 2Tick the checkbox at the top of the list, then click Select all # subscribers.
  3. 3Click Bulk Actions → Export.
  4. 4Kit will email you a download link when it’s ready — links expire after 5 days.
  5. 5Import the downloaded CSV at People → Import CSV in SplashSend.
Tip:Kit exports all subscribers regardless of status. To export active subscribers only, create a segment filtered by status first, then export from within that segment.
Direct integrations

Even easier with direct integrations

If you use Shopify, you don’t need to export anything — just connect and your contacts sync automatically.
